December 20, 2017 Market Report
We had a great sale to end the year on, seeing 754 head of cattle. Trade was active with lower futures. We had a good run of cows, with quality cows in high demand. Our next sale is January 3rd, 2018 @ 11:00 a.m. (weather permitting). Thanks to everyone for a great year and we look forward to another one with you.
December 13, 2017 Market Report
Good sale today! Our lighter cattle lacked the quality of our heavier calves, but for the current conditions I'd say demand was quite good for our selection today. Please join us next week for our last sale of 2017 we are expecting many cows, 3 Turner Angus Bulls, and 40 weaned 450 lb heifers from one farm, and we look forward to seeing you. December 6, 2017 Market Report
Had an awesome sale Wednesday with 1200 head of cattle, and the bulk of the calves being weaned. Market is softer due to lower future trades, no moisture on wheat, and difficulty to get commodities in some places due to high volume of lighter cattle in lots and feed yards. Cattle were average to fancy on quality and showing extreme amounts of condition, which reflected the higher values. We are having 2 more sales for 2017 and look forward to seeing you there. Thank you for another great weekly sale, we seen 871 head of cattle ran through here. Market is still steady among good, quality weaned cattle. We are really excited for next week's sale as we are expecting several bred cows and a good run of Limestone cattle. We also have close to 600 head of weaned cattle already consigned. November 15, 2017 Market Report
What a spectacular sale we had Yesterday. We would like to give a very special thanks to all the consignors who brought our head total to 1,554 head, setting a new record for our largest weekly sale yet. We saw excellent quality and condition on weaned cattle and the value reflected adding $18-$30 more per 100wght. We are extremely thankful for everyone's continued support. A reminder that will will not be having a weekly sale next week on Nov. 22, 2017 so that our staff can spend time with their families. We had a really great auction Wednesday with many outstanding cattle. Thank you so much to all our cosigners who brought cattle, bringing our total to 698 head. And thank you to everyone who joined us for the sale. Here are some highlights from the sale, we had 69 weaned black heifers weighing approx. 630 bring $157.50c, 83 black steers weighing approx. 660 at $162.50c, and 23 heifers weighing approx. 530 bring $168.00c. Don't forget about our Special Cow Sale this Saturday on Nov. 11 at 1:00 pm, and our Weaned Stocker Special next week during our weekly sale. What a great sale we had to kick off the month of November as we saw 689 head of cattle sold. Thanks to everyone for your continued support and business. October 25, 2017 Market Report
Another great run this week, with our sale total reaching 753 head of cattle. Weaned cattle were still several dollars higher than non-weaned cattle. There was also some strength shown this week on fancier bawling calves as we gained some new faces in the crowd. Stock cows are in high demand, while butcher bulls were 3-5 lower and butcher cows also 7-10 lower.
