Good auction, with stocker demand high and feeder market steady to 2-3 lower. Sold 60 hfrs weighing 558 @ $153.75, and 62 hfrs weighing 770 @ 122.00. Really good auction today! Most strength in lighter grazing cattle with weakness in stock cows, due to short grass and depleted hay piles. Butcher cows and bulls were $4-6 cheaper. Feeder cattle sure softer after multiple days of lower feeder and live cattle futures. Today we seen 60 full and fleshy steers weighing 891 bring 121.50. Good Run. Pray for rain, as we will see more cattle come to town as hay piles deplete. With a softer feeder market we are losing some pep in the stocker cattle market due to the missed rain chances in graze-out wheat country around us. Butcher cows and bulls were a pinch softer with good stock cows still in high demand.
